hey guys, remember that summer in SF when i was totally obsessed with ramen and even ate 6 bowls in a day? i was out to make the most out of my remaining days in the Bay Area (i.e., eat. A LOT.) and had fallen in love with the fresh, sinewy noodle that swims in a rich, savory broth. if the thought of ramen only conjures up memories of rustling 10/$1 plastic packets and sodium-induced coma, then you are missing out, my friend.
minneapolis needs some ramen-yas, stat. (closest is Tanpopo in St. Paul, but no ramen there!) perhaps this fall, i will embark on a “pho hunt.”
Pho 79 Special. Or I could go for a bowl of this right now. Mmm, sticky lips post-broth, chewy rice noodles, and all that beef and the crazy parts (my favorite = tendon).
